PLAN4CET project and the ME.TA (ManagEr della TrAnsizione) training course presented in Parma

On 4 July, at the headquarters of the Province of Parma, the ME.TA (ManagEr della TrAnsizione) training programme was presented. The course, starting on 17 September 2024, is addressed to public administration professionals from municipalities in the Province of Parma and aims to strengthen their capacity to guide the transformation of urban space and its functions towards greater overall sustainability.

The course is part of the European project PLAN4CET, developed to support European regions and cities in the design, development and implementation of clean energy transition plans, tailored to their specific characteristics and needs.

During the presentation event, the institutional greetings by Andrea Ruffini (Head of the Territorial Planning Service, Province of Parma) were followed by a speech by Enzo Bertolotti (Head of the Energy and Climate Unit, Ecological Transition Department,  Municipality of Parma), focusing on PLAN4CET and on the activities envisaged by the project to engage public administrations committed to achieving the decarbonisation and energy transition objectives set out in the SECAPs (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans).

Sara Picone (AESS), responsible for the ME.TA training course, illustrated the main features of the course aimed at local authority professionals, designed to enhance their ability to steer the transformation of urban spaces and their functions towards greater overall sustainability.

The event concluded with a presentation by Monica Porcari (ATES Parma) and an overview of the European project EASIER, funded by the LIFE programme, which aims to simplify and facilitate the energy refurbishment of residential buildings in the Province of Parma.
