PLAN4CET joined forces with its sister LIFE projects IN-PLAN, RECET, and REGIO1st at the 23rd edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities (EUWRC) held in Brussels on 14th and 15th October 2025. Organised by the European Commission Directorate‑General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the European Committee of the Regions, the event gathered regional and local stakeholders, policymakers, experts, and stakeholders from across Europe.
Key highlights
Throughout the two days, our stand became a lively meeting point for participants eager to learn more about the projects’ shared vision for regional and local development. Many visitors stopped by simply to say hello and stayed to engage in meaningful conversations about how our initiatives contribute to more sustainable and cohesive European regions.
The joint presence of PLAN4CET, IN-PLAN, RECET, and REGIO1st fostered a genuine spirit of collaboration. By presenting our approaches side by side, we were able to underline the synergies among the projects and demonstrate how each contributes to advancing innovative planning and policy integration at regional and local levels.
The stand also served as an excellent platform for informal exchanges, where participants from public authorities, research organisations, and EU institutions shared their experiences and ideas. Many expressed a strong interest in following up after the event, opening the door to new connections and potential future collaborations.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is the largest annual Brussels-based gathering dedicated to regional and local development in Europe. It showcases how cities and regions drive growth and jobs, implement cohesion policy, and contribute to governance across levels.
