The new PLAN4CER training programme, targeting citizens, public authorities, associations, and businesses interested in the development and management of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), was officially launched in Parma at the Provincial headquarters.
The course is part of the European PLAN4CET project, funded by the LIFE Clean Energy Transition programme.
Focusing on the Province of Parma, one of the project’s three pilot regions alongside Navarra (Spain) and Skåne (Sweden), the training initiative is supported by Italian partners including AESS, ATES, the Municipality of Parma, the Province of Parma, and EURAC Research.
PLAN4CER is open to all categories of stakeholders eligible to join a Renewable Energy Community, as defined by the most recent Italian legislation. The programme is specifically designed to address the training needs of individual citizens, public sector professionals, non-profit organisations, and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), whether they are already members of a REC or intend to become one.
This is a highly specialised training opportunity for those who wish to actively contribute to the energy and ecological transition in their local communities through the promotion and management of RECs.
The course consists of 10 training modules, delivered between September and November 2025, and includes 8 online sessions (via Zoom) and 2 in-person sessions held in Parma, scheduled at the start and end of the course.
A total of 30 spots are available for full participation (online + in-person), with priority given to applicants residing or working in the Province of Parma. An additional 30 places are available for online-only participation, open to candidates from other areas within the Emilia-Romagna region.
To be eligible, participants must hold at least a high school diploma and possess basic knowledge of Energy Communities.
