Sweden’s 14 energy offices play a key role in the transition towards a sustainable energy system. 80 of the offices’ nearly 150 energy professionals met for two days to discuss how to better support all owners, principals, and key actors in the current energy transition. We are currently working in three focus areas:
- energy-efficient construction
- fossil-free transportation
- smart electrical systems
Energy security is a prerequisite for local and regional development, in public operations as well as in the business sector. All energy offices depend on the ability to upscale resources available in our respective regions. In the External Financing working group, discussions focus on how we can create regional opportunities through ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) and contribute to stronger Swedish participation in the various EU programs, crucial to solving societal challenges and accelerate energy transition.
