Plan4CET

Improve clean energy transition planning at the local and regional level

The main objective of the PLAN4CET project is to support European regions and cities in the design, development and implementation of Clean Energy Transition (CET) plans adapted to their needs and possibilities.

urban areas are responsible for the majority of energy consumption

Since urban areas are responsible for the majority of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, it is crucial that these localities lead the way towards climate neutrality.

The project addresses the barriers identified in this transition process, such as lack of adequate governance, integrated solutions and limited capacities to develop and implement CET plans and strategies. To achieve its objective, PLAN4CET will generate different products, such as methodologies, tools and technical assistance, aimed at EU regions and cities, especially small and medium-sized municipalities with capacity limitations.
